What is a DTF gang sheet?
A DTF gang sheet is a single sheet of direct-to-film (DTF) transfer film with multiple designs arranged — "ganged" — onto it, so one print run produces many transfers at once. Instead of printing each design on its own piece of film, a shop packs an order's worth of designs edge to edge across the roll. The result: less wasted film, less wasted ink, and fewer print runs for the same output.
Why gang sheets matter
Film is the single largest consumable cost in DTF printing. Every square inch that passes through the printer costs money whether it carries a design or sits empty. A poorly packed sheet can leave 30–40% of the film blank; a well-packed sheet gets utilization above 85–90%. Across hundreds of orders a month, that difference is a real line item.
How gang sheets are built
